John 17:9
Jesus was about to go through the greatest agony that anyone had ever endured. Though the physical agony would be terrible, it was the spiritual battle that would be the most severe. So, what was on His mind when He talked with the Father?
His greatest concern seemed to be for those who had believed on Him, but were still living in the world. I believe we should pray for the lost, but God has given Jesus many disciples out of this world, many who now are physically sick, persecuted, downtrodden, and oppressed. Every believer is under attack. Should not most of our prayers be for them? After all, if the sheep are healthy and secure, they will produce lambs.
