The King’s Children Can Come Boldly – 04.27.2024

“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace, to help in the time of need” (Hebrews 4:16). What a marvelous invitation this is! To each believer there is extended an open invitation to come into the presence of God.

No one was allowed into the throne room of a king without a direct invitation. If anyone entered without an invitation, and the king did not hold out his scepter, they would be killed. To get to see the president of the United States requires an invitation. Even then, you must wait in an outer room until someone comes to get you, and leads you in before the president.

In this verse, we are told that we can come boldly, not timidly, with a fearful heart. We come boldly because we have become the sons and daughters of God. The King’s children are exempt from special protocol.
