While we applaud the women for being the first at the tomb of Jesus, they in no wise were women of faith. They did not go looking for the living Christ, but went to see the tomb.
“Who will roll away the stone?” they asked. The angel said, “Why seek ye the living among the dead?” I am afraid many are still looking for the tomb.
When Jesus rose from the dead, He left the grave clothes and the grave behind. When Jesus saved you, He resurrected you to walk in a brand new life. Don’t keep going back to your old tomb. There has been a resurrection, so go and live in the newness of that life. All other religions have enshrined the tomb of their leader. Don’t do that for Jesus! HE IS ALIVE, and so are you!
