I don’t mean to trouble you, but as Hal Lindsey said, “Satan is alive and well on planet earth.” We can sing, “He is under my feet,” or say, “He is a defeated foe” all we want. It’s just not so.
Christ defeated him in the wilderness, in Gethsemane, and at the cross, but he did not bind him or kill him. Sure, Satan will be totally defeated when Christ comes back to earth to reign. Until then, it is continual warfare, for he is still the prince and power of the air.
Paul told us to “put on the whole armor of God.” Why? He knew we would be in battle almost every day of our life. Look at Paul’s life, it never ceased for him. Neither will it cease for us. The question is, “Will we overcome him in our life, personally?”
